Birth

Since the birth of our Sara Rose...all chocolates and business are on hold.  Therefore I am reverting my website back to a blog.    When I get back to the kitchen, I'll start posting again.  Blessings,  Joy

Web News

Hello Everyone,

We are gearing up to start selling my raw chocolates and so this web address (EatingWithJoy.com) is about to become a regular website and our blog will be redesigned and given a new address.  We'll have a link to it on the new website.

Blessings & Love to you all,
Joy

WEDDING

On October 19, 2007 Michael, the love of my life, proposed and I accepted.

We're excited to spend the rest of our lives happily ever after and want to celebrate it with our friends and family.  We'll let you know when we have a date, it will probably be this spring.

I haven't put up any recipes in a few weeks, but will get back to it soon.  I'm obviously distracted by the fun of wedding planning right now.

Love & Blessings,
Joy

Energy Bars

These Energy Bars were designed to be used during intensive exercise such as marathons, bike races, back packing, etc. They are very high in calories, to replace that which is being used, as well as having beneficial micronutrients and amino acids needed for exercise. They are constantly being improved, although this batch got the green light for a recipe worth repeating.<< MORE >>

Traditional Macaroons

I have a recipe for raw macaroons as well, but this one is for the traditional baked macaroon. This recipe was inspired by two sources: one is the macaroons they sell at the health food store in Arcata; the other is an old farm recipe from the 1930's. They really scream out for chocolate in my opinion, although they are great plain as well.<< MORE >>

"Joy Juice"

During one of my visits with my dear friends in Salt Lake City, I taught them to make this delicious balsamic honey-mustard vinaigrette and they taught me to make the infamous peanut sauce. The next time I went to visit, they had a bottle of this vinaigrette in the fridge labeled "Joy Juice". The name caught on and is now “widely-used”. << MORE >>

Almond Milk

Almond Milk can be used in place of dairy in recipes, on cereal, in smoothies, in tea or coffee, etc. Or if made rich, sweetened Almond "Cream" can be used to make ice cream or poured over a bowl of fresh berries.<< MORE >>

Raw Chocolate

Hi Everyone... This is the first entry in my weekly recipe blog. When I can, I'll get a new recipe up every week. You can leave comments on them (how they worked for you if you tried them, modifications you made that you like better, questions if something is not clear, etc.) If there's something I've made that you want me to post the recipe for, let me know. This way, I might actually get enough of my recipes down by the end of a year or two to put the cookbook together. Yea! Love & Blessings, Joy << MORE >>
